27 November 2019

On Wednesday 27th November we were lucky enough to host a Creative Careers Fair in school organised by Sunderland Culture. It was a last minute event due to the fact that another school had dropped out from hosting it.

Our Year 5 and Year 6 children attended a series of workshops led by a graffiti artist, a museum curator, a filmmaker, a paper artist and a

mixed media artist. They had the opportunity to find out about what each of the professionals earned their living and also had the opportunity to create their own work. Everyone had a great time, learnt a lot and were very proud of their pieces of work.

Sunderland Culture completed an evaluation of the event which was extremely positive. I know the children talked a lot about what they had experienced.
