The Pupil Premium is additional funding allocated to children from low-income families who are currently known to be eligible for Free School Meals (or ever have been during their primary years). It is also allocated for those children who have been ‘Looked After’ continuously for more than six months and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.
Below is a breakdown of the funding we have received, what it has been used for and how this has had an impact upon progress and achievement of these children.
PLEASE NOTE: All pupils, including those eligible for Pupil Premium, at Usworth Colliery are tracked closely. Pupils are tracked as part of our termly, whole-school tracking to ensure they are making at least expected progress. If progress is not at least expected, pupils are identified for intervention to move their learning forward.
